Tuesday, February 26, 2008 - 13:29 GMT does anyone here think the old school type r's were better than the new ones cause i have owned both in the 15's and i hated the way the new ones sound those old ones banged twice as hard as the new ones and i had more like 800 more watts to the new one: old 15's i had audiobahn 1200dt at 4 ohms which puts out 400 watts rms and new alpines had Memphis prd1000. at one ohm which puts out around 1150-1200 and these were in a custom box as well and the old ones were in a prefab box and the old ones slammed
