Thursday, February 21, 2008 - 05:04 GMT Heres the deal. I bought a zx2500.1 to run two 12" Q's. After a lot of electrical upgrades my car still had trouble powering the amp. I sold it and decided to just run one sub. I am now looking for a good reliable efficient amp that will run 1000-1500w @ 1ohm. Some of the amps I have been looking at are audioque, mmats, and eD. Anyone w/ feedback on these amps, or suggestions on other brands? Budget is around or below $500.

Thursday, February 21, 2008 - 05:37 GMT You should be fine with 1100 watts on the Q. 1600 might be pushing it.

Thursday, February 21, 2008 - 05:43 GMT I was asking which because the mmats website says that the 1100.1 will only run 750w @ 1ohm and the 1600.1 is 1100w @ 1 ohm. Are these ratings correct?

Thursday, February 21, 2008 - 06:23 GMT I'd say the mmats amp is the best quality out of those. The the AQ is the best value IMO, and is still very good quality

Thursday, February 21, 2008 - 20:52 GMT Dwight, you got a very solid amp. Don't second guess it bud. Very solid amp. As for finding an Mmats amp that strong fr under $500. The Mmats 1600.1 can be found on eBay for $480 shipped I believe. Rated at 1150rms @ 1 ohm. Sure it does more though.

Thursday, February 21, 2008 - 21:41 GMT ^^x2 no need to overspend if its not neccessary, but if u have the money then fine do it. but the price for the AQ1200D is like a steal for an true 1200watts amp prob does more then that. if i had the D2 version of the HDC315 i would use the AQ1200D to run it at 1ohm.but i ordered the D1 version when it came out cuz i have the zx1000.1 which is only stable at 2ohms.
