Amp problems

justin garza Bronze Member Username: Justin_13 Post Number: 14 Registered: Feb-08	Posted on Monday, February 18, 2008 - 16:09 GMT i bought a package off ebay that came with two kicker cvr 12" 4 ohm subs and a sound storm FY1802 amp. the amp doesnt push the subs and i can barely hear the bass. i have rewired it all possible ways. does the amp even work with the subs? any suggestions?

And the subs, are they dual 4 ohm, single 4 ohm, or dual 2 wired to four? They shoud be ok with that amp. They are rated for 400wrms. Gain set right? HU settings ok? power ground ok? Do you have another amp to test the subs with? What box are they in? Do you have a DMM? Are you running them to each channel or bridged?

Marc Gold Member Username: Van_man Boston South, MA Post Number: 3434 Registered: Mar-06	Posted on Monday, February 18, 2008 - 20:14 GMT well, one last thought. Wire each sub down to 2( Parallel) ohms, then wire them to a 4 ohm load (Serius) bridged on the amp.
