Monday, February 18, 2008 - 21:36 GMT i know canaan, but im wondering if i can just cut down the spider to fit, but add another for strength.. its a thought in my head right now lol drivin.. SX motor is 3" gap for the coil.. only way to use a 2.5" coil is a different motor

Tuesday, February 19, 2008 - 00:40 GMT Just a wild thought here, Could you just buy the recone pieces separatly and fabricate to fit? What I mean is but a coil/former and spider complete with no cone, buy an 8" cone and cut out a hole big enough for the former to fit through the cone, and then of course just trim the spider to fit whatever basket you use?

Tuesday, February 19, 2008 - 00:48 GMT The thing is, it will be so over motored for an 8" cone that I will get to the limits of the suspension WAY to fast. You won't get much travel out of it.
