Wednesday, February 13, 2008 - 02:15 GMT sub is simply amazing on lows and sq.. it really surprised me in a under-sized sealed box but came alive in the ported enclosure its in.. of course its tuned to 34hz so it won't get super low but ive only had 1 song roll off on the low end.. i might retune the box a little lower output is not bad.. im used to two SX 15"s.. in a 1.4cu/ft sealed enclosure before displacement it did a 142.2 @ 48hz on around 1000rms given me running the same amp without a voltage drop issue im sure it would be good for a 145-146 in the current ported enclosure essentially it gets as loud as a single SX but sounds way more natural/warm, great sub pic of setup.. you can kinda see the sexxxy sub :P .. port is on the back of the box firing through the rear opening in the center of the seat.. 6" aero

Wednesday, February 13, 2008 - 03:40 GMT 04/05 .. the DD M1 is very under-rated.. DD specs say 600rms @ 1 ohm 12v .. they benched the amp at 1920 @ 1.15 ohm 14.4v with my voltage drop I'd say somewhere between 1000-1200rms considering the gain low

Wednesday, February 13, 2008 - 04:51 GMT Older XXX's are XBL^2. The new ones are Spit-Coil (iirc). Xbl^2 XXX's are known for their authority down low and smooth warm sound. Very nice subs both vented and sealed. Give them at least 1000w or up to 2000w on the high-end. The coils are rated 1600wrms, to a nice clean 1500w amp daily would be great. The old M1 was amazingly underrated, USACi restructured the 0-300w classes because of this and other amps. At one time you could run a pair of M1's in 0-300, but USACi changed the class to a 1 amp class in '06. In '07, USACi totally restructured all classed.
