pay no attention to the peak power handling
what is the wrms rating on the subwoofers
also what is the voice coil configuration of the subwoofers

I hope that soundstorm amp holds up they arent the best product...I had one when they first came out and it kept getting hot and shutting off fairly quickly I went back to the shop I bought it from and they swapped it out for a replacement and the third one still shut off...each one was bridged to the same sub

the soundstorms power is over rated so dont expect it to keep up with the alpine amp either

they are dual 4 ohm woofers and it doesnt say on the back of the woofer what the wrms is just peak 450 so i dont know and ive never really had a problem with the soundstorm amp and the alpine amp seems to be fine it was hooked up to a set of 10s recently and worked i dont know very much about car audio though

if peak is 450 the RMS is probably 200ish... hook that 500 watt alpine up to both subs and forget about the soundstorm.

I second that idea of using the alpine for the subs and use the soundstorm in two channel mode to run your highs

use the rockford wiring wizard to wire your subs up correctly

what model subwoofers are they
i just jumped on the mmats website and i would guess that you have the p2.0 which is 350 rms

these are the specs i found on that amp
50x2 rms into 4ohms
100x2 rms into 2ohms
200x1 rms into 4ohms Bridged

you will need a different amp if you want to properly power those subs
