Monday, February 11, 2008 - 18:05 GMT Pics of my new box. Chad is dieing to see them apparently lol. Started it yesterday and called it quits early cause it was about 15 degrees with 40mph winds. Got everything cut almost, just a few left. Its coming out nicely though right now. The box is about 3.15 before driver displacement so it will be around 2.95 after driver displacement. Still have to cut out the subs placement, which will be in the middle obviously and another piece to mount the sub on since I'm doing a flush mount. Should have completed pictures by next Sunday and should have the Mag up and running in the middle of next week. Will have plenty of pics and videos and a review when all done.

Tuesday, February 12, 2008 - 03:37 GMT Thanks for the comments guys. Dope, I don't know if I'll be able to fit a ported box back there. It would be VERY tight but we'll see what Phil can come up with.

Tuesday, February 12, 2008 - 03:42 GMT I can't build a ported box to fit back there. I can't figure out number -wise how it would work so I gotta wait until I talk to Phil and see if he can come up with atleast 3.5cuft of usable space.

Tuesday, February 12, 2008 - 03:43 GMT yanks you could run that sub in 3.5 ported easily, which isn't that much more space.

Tuesday, February 12, 2008 - 03:48 GMT Its a good thought Chad, I like where your mind is going with that but I don't know if that will fly with my pops or not. I had my back seats folded down taking measurements and my dad almost flipped his sh1t cause he thought I was planning on not having the backseat being usable lol. Reece, I literally sat in my trunk for about 30minutes trying to think of a way to get a 3.5cuft ported box to fit back there and I just can't see it happening. It was hard enough trying to get a 3.0cuft sealed box back there that was tall enough and had enough room for the sub's excursion. My trunk is a grade A b1tch. Steven, lol, I've been waiting for Phil to come post his pics up and then come to my thread and rip on me for finishing before me lol.

Tuesday, February 12, 2008 - 03:51 GMT yanks can you take some pics of your trunk and post it. i've seen trunks of scion before but i kinda forgot how much room there is. i know the trunk floor is rather high though.

Tuesday, February 12, 2008 - 03:53 GMT Yea man, I'll get some tomorrow. My box up there is only 11" high and it leaves 2.5" between the sub and the "roof" of my trunk. If I can take out the spare tire, then it will greatly help matters.

Tuesday, February 12, 2008 - 14:51 GMT yanks how about you fire your sub and the port forward. push the box all the to the back and the top can go along the trunk lid. it would be kinda like a wall. something like this.

I think that would be my only option if I do a ported box. Phil and I will figure something out at the meet.
