I need to buy a set of 6.5 components and an amp for the front of my car, a 1990 Mazda Protege. I also would like to have some rear fill, i have 5.25" speakers in there. Im running a Pioneer DEH 5900iB Head Unit and my price range is 300.00 give or take 50.00

what kind of sound do you like? does your budget include all of the above mentioned items? or just a front component set or something? you would benefit by skipping the rear speakers (leave what's in there right now and run it off the HU) and spending more money on the front speakers. your ears don't listen to the rear speakers...they listen to the fronts...no need to really replace the rears at all.

350 for an amp and front components would be reasonable by all means. what kind of sound do you like in your speakers? emphasis on midrange or midbass? bright, natural, or mellow tweeters? any other requirements? what have you had before and what are your thoughts on it?

First i just want to say why the hell does every one on this forum second guess a question? damn thats pissing me off.
Second i listen to metal and rap. I like my bass deep, my highs HIGH and my mids to fill in what isnt done by the rest. My H.U. has a 7 band EQ. I want to buy components and an amp for 300.00 or as close to as possible.

Do you have a sub? Otherwise the bass won't get to deep.
