Ok so im about to get all of the materials ready for my alternator swap so that when i get the alt i can simply just install it.

Heres all the parts i am thinking i am going to need.

200amp alt

0ga big 3 wire

fuse and fuse holder(not sure what size to get)

Positive battery terminnal with 2 0ga and 1 4ga connections

negative battery terminal with 2 0ga connections

Any one know if the knuconceptz terminals will work for my installation needs?

any other parts you think i will need? let me know, because i am going to order on monday since my subs arent even shipping out until then.

should i get a cap? only reason im wondering is cuz my total system fuse rating is 250 amp but the largest alt i can get for my car is 200amp.

knuconceptz terminals should work greatly.

and as far as a cap, I really don't see a point in them. And I dont think it would help you to much either. If any.

Ring terminal for the alt + wire connection to the alt. You can also use ring terminals to connect wires to the battery.

No capacitor. Come on, do you read any of the capacitor threads on here?

Save the fuse and holder for your amp's power wire, you don't need it for the battery to alt wire. Putting ONE fuse in that wire is completely useless. Since there are current sources at both ends (alt and battery) you would need to have 2 fuses, one at the alt and one at the battery for them to work.

That wire usually is not long enough to make it worth doing that.
