well when i got my subs there dual 4ohm i was told to wire the positives on each sub together and then the negative but was not told to wire the subs together and when ive tried doing it it seems like there aint enough room to put all the wire in it so how do you go about doing it also does it matter if you use smaller speaker wire to wire them together then the bigger stuff to wire them to the amp
well thats what i was wandering they are wired like the picture is and the subs arnt wired together thats how i was told to get a 1ohm load so would that be right? were do u get one that u can connect three wires and fit 12 gauge wire
i am getting confused here. sorry justin. be more specific.
what subs do you have? how many subs do you have? are they dual 4ohms or dual 3ohms? what ohm is your amp stable at?
answer those questions and i will try to draw a better diagram for you. now i am done from my work so it will take me like an hour to get home so i won't be able to reply. but i am sure someone will.
well i have 2 dual 4ohm si bms that were hooked up to a sae 1000d(will now be a us amps md2d)which is 1ohm stable and i was told that the way the subs above were wired at 1 ohm but i dont think they are i was think i had them each wired at 2 ohms going into the amp but i may be mistaken?
also were would i get those tube things to wire three wire ends together i am using 12 gauge wire
since the sae 1000 has 2 + and 2 -, you can just connect your positive and negative of each sub in to each one. so if you wire your subs to 2ohms each going in to the each set of terminals on the amp, it will be a 1ohm load cause its parallel inside the amp.
