You had a 16v system.
i was wondering how you were able to charge it. did you have a voltage regulator for your alternator? also did you use a step down resistor???

in other words what is necessary to run a 16v system.

first you could get a 16v batt with a 12v out as well, run this to your fuse box. most starters will take 16v. next you need a big alt(200A, there really is no reason for a 300A running at 16v, you may have a harder time with the external regulator under an everyday condition). then set up your regulator to like 17.4-17.6v. 2 8v or some 16v batts in the back.

also look in to this.

kinetik 16v has 12v hook up for your car and 16v for your audio system.

lol you got that post from termpro.com chad....
i was thinking of doing that with the kinetik but you still need to charge the 16v system with something.

you need a external voltage regulator.. to make your alternator push the the voltage at 16v...

then u need 16 volt batteries for the back... but your main batterie has to be a 12 volt batterie and you have to buy a step down 14 volt regulator box from powermaster i beilve... so the 16volt signal it will change it back to 13-14 volts and feed your electrical system this is just for starting and the back.. but run a line from your alternator directly to the 16 volt battery bank...

and ull be set..

listen dumbazz...

go to ebay.. get a external voltage regulator from iraggi 100 bucks...

get a step down 3 volt step down from powermaster...for your electrical..

use a 12 volt batterie with the step down from powermaster

use a 16 volt battery back and wire it directly to the alternator...

thats it.. ull have a 12 volt supply while having a 16 volt system in the back

I use two dual voltage 12/16V racing batteries from Jegs and a single BatCap 8400 16V. The BatCap has its own charger so whent they are all hooked up together the one charger takes care of all the batteries at once. I have an Iraggi alt and external regulator but only use it if I do not have access to my charger when needed, I have no dimming at all because it runs fully off the bank. Polo..
