Running of a Nine.1 both would be ported. Which would you take? Also, i know most hate this question, but which would get louder?

in terms of spl i would have to go with the 12's. more cone area. the se's cost ALOT less to, so thats probably what i would take. i dont think i would ever buy a dub7. to many other, cheaper options.

the nine.1 wouldn't push enough power for the W7. no one notices, but it's RMS is 1500 watts. That nine.1 at 3 ohms will probably produce around 675 watts... less than half the power the W7 needs. so basically i don't really think you have a choice. it's the RE SE's or a new idea.

i wish i had the money for JL lol...but reece brassler brings up a good point. that amp will not give a 13w7 enough power for you to see it really shine. go with the RE SE's

im personally not a fan of SE's ... they sound alright but the output isnt what i expected

W7s are great woofers ... but they sound muddy .. not a fan of their sq .. loud but sq not so much in my opinion

that 13W7 would laugh at 675 watts. not to mention it wouldn't sound nearly as good.

Well, actually reece i talked to the ED techs and they said at 3 ohms, the nine.1 is pushing 900 rms at 13.9 volts (my car's resting) which is plenty considering it's actually rated at 1000 and blaine westropp on here has a 13w7 on a nine.1 and it slams.

i'm not going for spl either, i just want some nice clean sounding bass. I've heard a 13w7 sealed and ported, a 12w7 HO box, and a single RE SE 12 sealed, and I liked the 13w7 ported the most, but the SE seemed to sound clean and get loud. I can get the 13w7 for like 370 too, the SE's would run about 325 a pair.

the 13 W7 is 1500 rms, bud. check the site. as for the nine.1 i forgot it was rated a 12.5v i would still put more power to it.
