Tuesday, January 22, 2008 - 23:55 GMT Huge price difference here. You'd save more than a couple bucks with the Q.

Wednesday, January 23, 2008 - 02:03 GMT From what I hear the mags have more output than the q's but the q's have a wider range

Wednesday, January 23, 2008 - 02:26 GMT It's about budget. If he wants the better of the two the Mag hands down. It's just more of an elite sub. Not zip codes away from the Q but ahead. If you're not willing to pay the premium for that edge then the Q is VERY adequate at a reasonable price. When I priced/ran mine at the time it was a 15" Mag($500 list) against an 18" Q ($310 list). I was like "WTF? An 18 for $200 less?" I chose the Mag. LOVED it. Then I wondered what an 18 would sound like. SI doesn't make an 18". So I changed to the Q 18". I'm glad I did but the Mag is a better sub. I'm glad I bought both, sorry I sold one.
