I know that the manufacture says that they like to have 600 RMS but everyone on here says run 1,000 -1,500 to them. Are the Hifonics ampa good? Particularly the 1,600 class D??? And would I mess the sub up if I ran one in a ported box with my Infinity 1600a Class d....600x2ohm??? The amp is 894 max...so does that mean it's 894 at one ohm???? |

Gold Member Username: Nd4spd18Northwest PA Post Number: 5367 Registered: Jul-06 | Hifonics amp are budget quality and overrated. You can't damage a sub by running less than recommended power to it. That amp is 600w RMS at 2 ohm. Ignore the max number it means nothing. |
