Ok, I have 2 12" Kappas sealed..I bought them off a buddy used and they are the older Kappas...which are louder than the newer ones. I have a Infinity Reference 1600a Class d amp that is 894 max and 600 @ 2ohms....What should I set my LP Freq to??? 32-120...I dont even know what the RMS is on these, I think they are 300 or 400 rms...but Im tuning my amp so... heres a picture of the amps side where the tuning options are...thanks all!! better fix your settings before you clip the subs to death.

So do you think its going to sound a lot better after I change these settings to what you said?

Is it still going to pound? That bass boost really makes them produce good SQ

Set LPF to ~80-100hz.

Turn BB all the way down to 0dB.

Then put in a CD w/ tones and turn the radio up to ~3/4 volume. (Or to the loudest setting you will ever listen to it, then add 1-2 notches)

Play a 50hz tone and turn the gain up until you just start to hear distortion. Then turn it down just hair.

There you go :-)

ur gonna get cleaner sounds 4 sure & ur subs will last longer too ...i dont use any bass boost at all since it will caue distortion at high vol level

i like my LP filter never above 80 since it makes the bass more deeper\richer sounding to me ...
