I am thinking about getting an Eclipse AV8012... I just have a few questions about the units since I don't know much about the flip out monitors. I guess first are they anygood? And second, is this one a touch screen? Can't seem to find anything that says it is or isn't.. just that it has a remote. Hopefully someone on here has had one, or has had some experience with one and could help me out. And is it worth the coupld hundred dollers I'd be paying for it? Thanks for your time guys, I really appriciate anyone helping out.

It looks pretty old. I found some info about it. I know that it came out before 2002 though. It was probaly good then, but not as good as newer indash tv's. Since it has a remote, I assume it isn't touch screen. Nor could I find any information on it about being a touch screen. How much were you about to pay for this unit? If over $300, I would just save up and get me a newer headunit. Check out the panasonic 7005u or their double din version. Their pretty decent for the money and can be had for a little under $500.

I would be paying $220. I know it doesn't have mp3 and WMA capabilities, but it does have an ipod connection cord, so that'd be no big deal. I mean the 8 volt preamp outputs seem like they'd be nice. It says it has 2 pairs F/R and 2 independent center channel and a subwoofer preamp output. Does that mean it has 5 preamp outputs? That seems to be a lot, I also noted it doesn't have an internal amp, but I'd be using a 4 channel for the front and probably a 2 channel in the rear, and then the sub amp.
