I just want to see what kind of cone materials people prefer on their subs. I like the aluminum coated polypropylene on the mtx subs, especially on the twelves. Give me some info. Anybody heard the kenwood's both regular and excelon? Just wanted to know if anybody liked their sound. The eclipse cones are nice both the kevlar cones and the metal coated polypropylenes.

I like coffee ice cream in a cone, Sugar cone, not that waffle one either, nor a cup.

personally, i like the nomex stuff.. too bad it is prone to breakage:-( ti is nice as well, but heavy:-)

kevlar IS neat, however, most kevlar/paper blends have an absolutely silly composition (like 2% kevlar, lol)

Aluminum foil FTW! Just like my HD surround sound I built myself.

But on a serious note, I agree with mark on the sugar cone. They taste so much better.

I will say I don't like the RF plastic cones because I've seen waaaay to many have cracks going up and down them- though from stupidity.

True that on the RF subs. Everytime I go into best buy, the rf subs are trashed. Cracks, holes, you name it. I wonder how their new cones hold up?
