New member Username: Kkiiaann33Post Number: 2 Registered: Dec-07 | currenty i have a Kenwood KAC-9103D amp running with a single Pioneer Premier TS-W3001D2/D4 sub. the reason im posting is that i know now that the kenwood amp is not stable at 2 ohms, and now when i search for amps i dont want to fall in that same hole. listed below is the stats of the sub. * 12" high powered SPL series sub * 3,000 watts peak Dual 2 ohm, 4 Layer, Long Coil (1 ohm x or 4 ohm) Dual 4 ohm, 4 Layer, Long Coil (2 ohm x or 8 ohm) * 1000 Watts RMS Rated and Tested! * 4 Ohm DVC * Wide-Roll 3-Layer Fiber Radial Surround * IMPP Cone with Carbon/Glass Fiber Reinforcements * Aluminum Heat Sink * Titanium Voice Coil * Ceramic Coated Voice Coil Wire * Double-Stacked Magnet structure * Cast Aluminum Basket * Frequency response: 18 Hz - 700 Hz * sensitivity: 89 dB the kenwood on 4 ohms just does not have enough power to run a single pioneer premier sub. by the way i am only going to use a sub. thanks and please reply.. |

Bronze Member Username: Igor_xxxPost Number: 61 Registered: Sep-07 | if you want to run it at 2ohm you need the D4 (because i cant understand from your last post which one you have i think its the d4,right?) and your budget is? kicker zx750.1 maybe |
New member Username: Kkiiaann33Post Number: 4 Registered: Dec-07 | ooo wow i meant that i wanted to run it at 1 ohm. sorry for the mistake. i will spend up to $250 |
Bronze Member Username: Igor_xxxPost Number: 62 Registered: Sep-07 | well this fits your budget and will give you enough power for that pioneer sub http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=16367 |

Bronze Member Username: Igor_xxxPost Number: 63 Registered: Sep-07 | lol, now i'm confused.dude do you have d4 or d2.tell us that and than we will tell you if you can run it at 1ohm load, and just as cam said you can't have both |

Gold Member Username: camBC Canada Post Number: 1509 Registered: Nov-06 | Yeah, now I'm royally confused. Oh. Wait. You mean it's D4, but you're quoting what it can be wired to? If that's the case, get a zx1000.1 and be done. |
New member Username: Kkiiaann33Post Number: 6 Registered: Dec-07 | its the 2 ohm version |
New member Username: Kkiiaann33Post Number: 7 Registered: Dec-07 | heres the exact link of the sub that i purchased... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=270176522888&Category=18803&_ trksid=p3907.m29 |
Bronze Member Username: Igor_xxxPost Number: 66 Registered: Sep-07 | you can't run the kicker zx1000.1 with that sub cuz your sub is D2 (from the link you posted) and that amp is over your budget.you need 1ohm amp |

Silver Member Username: Philly306., North carolina Post Number: 724 Registered: Apr-07 | that^^^ wouldn't be enought power. you can us it but you would be limiting the sub. if your sub is d2 then the sundown sae1000(suggested above) would be a nice choice. not sure what your budget is though |
Gold Member Username: camBC Canada Post Number: 1541 Registered: Nov-06 | Phil, the T5001BD is quite underrated. A few people have birthsheets that say over 1000W. Someone's said 1137W, I believe. |
Silver Member Username: Philly306., North carolina Post Number: 725 Registered: Apr-07 | then why would a company underate an amp by twice its rated output. thats just stupid id like to see a birthsheet of an amp that is rated for 500w and the birthsheet says 1000. either way id still; rather an amp that can easily produce 1000+wrms than one whose max is a little over 1k |
Gold Member Username: Nd4spd18Northwest PA Post Number: 5212 Registered: Jul-06 | That RF amp does ~800 to over 1000 depending on the specific amp........RF power series are one of the most underrated amps out there. And great quality. A lot of those t5001s would beat a 1000w rated amp..... but theres no guarantee of that so I'd get the Sundown since you know it will do 1000w. |
