Alright a close friend of mines just got his install finish with his 2 12" D3's and the car audio shop wired everything for him. But I happen to notice they put a fire stone battery in the trunk wired to the amp and then also have the power wire ran from the frony battery to the amp.Basically the 2 batteries connect at the amp only. My question is what is the advantage to wiring the batteries in this way ? and how does is work

and the battery in front/back are diff from one another

and I am also sure that his amp does "not" have 2 power inputs

would the amp draw power from both batteries ? and then when the car is crank both are being used or just the front? would the back battery every get charged ?

That would work exactly the same as if the wire were run from front batt to rear batt, and then a wire from back batt to the amp.

What they did sounds like a dumb way to wire it

hence why people should install stuff themselfs so you know what's up and shops can't do retarded stuff and charge you redixulous amounts of money wile doing it. Plus if you do it yourself then if something goes wrong you can fix of yourself and know what you are doing
