Anonymous | OK, I am gonna get 2 JL 12 W3v2's they come in 2 ohm 4 ohm or 6 ohm. The 2 ohm would be the best right? The amp I was thinking of using is the jbl gto601.1 to power these. I could wire both the subs together in parralel and have my amp push 600 watts (300 to each) at a 2 ohm load right? (being i get the JL W3v2 2 ohm speaker) I dont really understand ohms and how to wire it to get different ohm load, but i was hoping if someone would tell me if im on the right track... Also, one of my friends was telling me I should get a seperate 300 watt aplifier for each individual speaker. Would that be better or should i go with 1 600 watt amp? |

You're guaranteed equal power distribution off of one amp. Get the 2 ohm DVC's, wire the voice coils in series, then both the subs to the amp in parallel. Here's a site if you're questioning the wiring: http://www.crutchfieldadvisor.com/ISEO-rgbtcspd/learningcenter/car/subwoofers_wi ring.html |
