Can you pull your door handle? If not chip away the ice from above/under the handle so you can pull it. Then get some de-icer fluid and spray it in the door jambs around the weather seal. Or sometimes you can just pull real hard and break it loose. Don't break your door handle though. |

Gold Member Username: CarguyPost Number: 6915 Registered: Nov-04 | If you're going to pour hot water on the car, make sure you do it SLOWLY. If not you will crack the windows. |
Gold Member Username: CblazeRock island, Tenesssee Us Post Number: 1014 Registered: Sep-07 | couldnt u just use your defrost and a ice scraper to clear the windowshield off,its bad on a car to not let it warm up anyways |
Gold Member Username: CarguyPost Number: 6919 Registered: Nov-04 | If a rain freezes all over the car, it'll take hours before it melts it. As an alternative, you can use a hair dryer to melt frozen keylocks/holes on the door. |

Gold Member Username: CarguyPost Number: 6920 Registered: Nov-04 | Chris you sound like you never had a ice storm. When it happens, there's almost 1" thick of ice all over your car. You can't even get in the car. Pouring hot water SLOWLY worked for me. However, a hot air blower/hair dryer works as well. |
