They are both great quality. KXs for 1 ohm ZXs for 2 ohm Except the 2500.1 are both 2 ohm. As far as I know, there's no reason to get one over the other.

It is however very minor. For example, the SN for KX is 85db, and ZX is 95db. The ZX also has some new features. Other than that, it's almost identical. If I were you, I'd get the ZX cause it has better warranty, meaning it's a place where you can walk in.

They both are 2ohm stable, BUT running them into a lower owm is futile, they use protection circuitry limiting there output current, you would only gain a couple hundred extra, not really worth it especially when the byproduct is mostly heat. Mentioning heat, the KX has a cooling fan and the ZX does not, don't quote me on that though but pretty sure (know for fact ZX does not have one). IMHO get the KX... Polo.
