Without knowing anything about SoundStream, I am going to have to assume the SQ will be pretty awful. Not to mention the fact that the RE is one of the best subs out there. Just my opinion. How much will the SS cost? Would you run it at 8000RMS? That's a hell of an amp and charging system. |

Post Number: 12617 Registered: Jul-05 | have heard that SS XXX quite a few times - sounds quite good for a spl sub ...a guy has 1 in a older model sentra & the box for it has to be HUGE though & that sub requires a sh1t load of power to get it to really perform ...he has hit 145 on iasca meter with it tuned around 35hz & box about 7cuft with 2 big slot ports on each side of the box firing into the cabin ...did some good excursion too RE XXX IMO is a much cleaner soundind quality sub which still gets loud ....i like more quality than spl so if were me id keep the RE ..... |

(500 oz ferrite to the 4hp's 400 oz) i have had the ss xxx.. it was loud. it uses a 4" coil. cone folded though. the sub is.. fairly capable, BUT ss's customer service is SEVERLY lacking. hth. |
