Gold Member Username: Snarl2004Digital Design 9515, Massive Audi... Post Number: 1976 Registered: Dec-06 | best hz is 40. clean power for daily is like 2000ish for burps around the 3k range. the HDC3 are different though |

Silver Member Username: Texas_bassHouston, TX Post Number: 554 Registered: Nov-05 | sorry i was talking about the HDC3 and after i get everything and get it installed im going to look for some amp(s) to give them the power that they need/want |
Gold Member Username: Snarl2004Digital Design 9515, Massive Audi... Post Number: 1977 Registered: Dec-06 | ive had my sd2.5's and my dd9515 tuned at 38 and they sound great. for the HDC3 i wouldnt go above 2500daily. 2000-2200 will make it shine. make sure its clean power. im sure it will take up to 4k burps if clean though. for 1 12 ide make the box 2-2.5ft^3 net tuned at 38 |
Gold Member Username: Snarl2004Digital Design 9515, Massive Audi... Post Number: 1978 Registered: Dec-06 | DJ is coming out with a 2000d amp soposedly in the first couple of weeks in january it would power a HDC3 perfectly |
Silver Member Username: Texas_bassHouston, TX Post Number: 555 Registered: Nov-05 | im going to be going with 2 12's but would like to get on amp to power both for daily and if possible use it for comps too but will probably have to get 2 amps for comp |

Silver Member Username: Texas_bassHouston, TX Post Number: 558 Registered: Nov-05 | scott s what would be the difference from them being in saprate boxes compared to being i just one box and the difference in a spl box |
Silver Member Username: Talon0112 audioque 2.5 145.2 ..., Pa Usa Post Number: 527 Registered: Jun-07 | daily i would do 2-2.5cf per sub tuned at 38-40hz on 1000-1500w per sub. if you are going to compete with them the port area needs to be bigger and tuned to the vehicles natural freq., they will take more power for burps vs constant power around 2600w for burps |

Silver Member Username: Texas_bassHouston, TX Post Number: 561 Registered: Nov-05 | im having trouble finding the xmax and the speaker displacement tor thehdc 12 |
Gold Member Username: Nd4spd18Northwest PA Post Number: 4663 Registered: Jul-06 | DD/AQ does not measure xmax of their subs, as that is a misleading spec that people will try to rely on designing boxes, when they shouldn't. As for displacement, I haven't seen that published yet for the HDC3. |
Silver Member Username: Texas_bassHouston, TX Post Number: 562 Registered: Nov-05 | well if thats so how do i use the caculators online to figure out the box cause everyone ive tried 2 use its required unless u know of another one i can use |

Gold Member Username: Crayola02008 Nissan Versa!!, Wisconsin Post Number: 2245 Registered: Jun-06 | would 1 15" HDC3 or 2 12" SD2.5's be better for sql using the same amount of power |

Silver Member Username: DjlPost Number: 118 Registered: Sep-06 | 10"=.16 12"=.18 15"=.23 The 12" SD2.5's would be close up to 1500 watts on the pair, any more and I would go with the HDC |
Gold Member Username: Crayola02008 Nissan Versa!!, Wisconsin Post Number: 2246 Registered: Jun-06 | alright because because 1 hdc3 would be cheaper so i was just wondering but with like 1000 watts the 2.5's would be louder then |

Silver Member Username: Texas_bassHouston, TX Post Number: 565 Registered: Nov-05 | dj what would u recomend for daily hz then comp hz |
Gold Member Username: Nd4spd18Northwest PA Post Number: 4684 Registered: Jul-06 | DD/AQ recommend 40 hz tuning for daily for all of their subs. Competition depends on the peak frequency of your vehicle. |
Silver Member Username: DjlPost Number: 119 Registered: Sep-06 | With 1000 watts i would go with the SD2.5's. Your system would not be stressed and give you years of service. If you went with the 1000 on the HDC you might be tempted to overdrive the amp. |
