I got the factory alternator, a duralast gold battery under the hood, a kinetik 2,400 amp dry cell battery & a 800 dry cell battery, + a tsunami 40 farad cap so I think the power's good

Definitly gonna need a HO alt. Biggest you can find. The cap isnt really needed at all. Running that amp on a stock alt will not bring good results to your car or your equipment....in other words, your equipment will break.

That is good, but you will never get those 16v numbers on a 14 volt electrical system (duh).

Custom dual alternator setup. Way more money than it's worth (thousands), especially for a low quality amp like ma audio.

I think a better question would be: "How much money are you willing to spend on this?"

You mean SPL comps? Talk to /\/\ike about his RDs, they might be what you are looking for.

However, if I was you, I'd talk to Pete Kulicki. Especially with that kind of money.

The box is the biggest factor.

Mike's a guy on this forum. He's cool. I bought my amp from him. Pete Kulicki designed for Team Toxic Bass, I believe. He gets really in-depth when it comes to designing, and seems to really know his acoustics. Do some reading on his site, hexibase.com. He's got some really cool articles.

"Custom dual alternator setup. Way more money than it's worth (thousands), especially for a low quality amp like ma audio."

Not only alternators but some that can put out 16volts or have an external and adjustable voltage regulator.

How much are you paying for that Stinger alternator? I know they're expensive...

No capicator, doesn't help.

Yes you have use an isolator if you run 2 different batteries.

Oh, that isn't too bad for a Stinger alternator, I've seen much higher prices for them.
