need an amp that is rated 300wat 4 ohms but puts out 1200-3000 at 2 or 1 ohm. thinking about a dd m1a any other ideas. need for local wattage class shows
it is a cheater amp.. hence why usaci rerated it.. people running 0-300 held 1st for two years with those amps till they were reclassed
@ 1 ohm DD specs say 600rms.. from the DD tech he told me they benched the amp on 12volts.. lets say it did 740rms.. they rounded it to the nearest number.. which would be 700.. then subtracted 100.. and thats where the rating of 600rms @ 1 ohm came from..
of course it goes a lot more with voltage increases..
600w x 1 - 12.0V @ 1 ohm 1700w x 1 - 14.4V @ 1 ohm
i'd have to find the link to where they tested that amp.. its on the DD website somewhere but they benched the M1 at 1920
price.. not sure if im going to part with it yet.. was wondering what your budget was.. hard to find these amps.. well for under $350
i really want to get another one to strap a pair.. looking at 3000-4000rms yet rated 300 @ 4 ohm .. talk about ownage in low power classes
