well i just got my hands on a 15" sub and it happens to be Quad voice coil 2 ohms i was hoping someone could show me a diagram on how to wire it to both 2 and 1 ohms?

with 1 quad 2ohm sub you can wire to .5, 2, or 8ohm.

8ohm all vcs in wired series
2ohm pairs of vcs wired series, then the 2 pairs wired parallel
0.5ohm all vcs wired parallel

i looked up the sub online and it says it can be wired to .5 1 2 4 and 8 ohms

you cant do 1 ohm unless you have 2 of the subs..... btw those subs will die in a minute if u really give them 2400rms..... immortals right? i had 2 of them and they blew on a earthquake phd10000d.... and that amp sucks...
