I was reading on the CDT site and they said never to mount 6.5"s or larger inside a kickpods. It was stated to only mount them in the doors.
But if your running a 2-way setup I don't see how your imaging would be correct if you fired the main tweeter towards the dome light when the mids were firing outwards from the doors.
Do they say this just because space issues? I can see true if you ran a 3-way to mount them in the doors but for those running 2-ways setups why can't they be mounted in a kickpod as long as you have close to the recommended volume?
How'd I guess you'd chime in hehe.. i thought about 3-way.. gonna stick with 2-way.. i think it would be too hard getting proper imaging on a 3-way setup
im just build some new kickpods.. something bigger that uses the space better
the woofer on my 3 way is mounted on the door. of course. lol. anyways, i managed to seal all the holes in my door with edead and the bass response out of those are sick.
i could go 3-way if i got some x-overs.. i mean i do have 2 complete CDT 2 ways sets plus some AA poly-mids and dayton 7" woofers .. could mix and match lol
