Does bridging a 4 channel amp to power 2 subs give you worse s than just using a higher wattage 2 channel amp?

Does the voice coil, (2ohm, 4 ohm, DVC) have anything to do withq the sq?

Nope. The way you wire voice coils will change the resistance in ohms that the amplifier sees.

thanks, and what about bridging an amp? Does that mess with the sq of the subs?

no. that tells the amp to its a 4ohm load bridged and to send the power of the two channels into the 2 you have bridged

2 and 4 channel amps aren't as well suited for max power, you should get a mono amp for subs. You'll get more power from your available power from a class D

you can use a mono Class D amp to power more than one sub? Does that split the wattage between the two subs equally? 1000rms mono class D amp will power 2 sub with 500rms?

Yes, two subs hooked up to a 1000rms mono amp will each receive 500rms if you have the subs wired to the lowest ohm load the amp can handle.
