Gold Member Username: HdubbTeam Revolution Post Number: 3008 Registered: Nov-04 | the 9500 is a good woofer, just needs the right enclosure. just thought id clear that up. lol. you dont have many options with 650 for the amp and sub, plus wires. my advice is the audioque hdc15 and a ed nine.1 the hdc15 will run you 280 shipped. which is a great deal for a new sub. it has a ton of potential as well. the nine.1 will run you 295 shipped. great underrated amplifier. the sub will like a box thats 3.5 to 4 cu. ft tuned from 35-40 hz for daily musical listening. audioque has great customer service and would be happy to assist you with any othr questions vi email at sales@audioque.com |

You didn't say what size woofer he's running, or how much power. Just assuming a 15 with the recommended 1krms, that still doesn't say what car he has and what you have. So many things go into 'whats louder' that it's hard to say, but with more power and cone area you should have a good advantage: If you have "all the room" I'd go for a Fi BL 18 (dual 2ohm coils, cooling, flatwind coil) shipped for 369 (ficaraudio.com). Tuned around 32-34hz this sub sounds amazing. Post Number: 6035 Registered: Jul-06 | I wasn't trying to steer you away Ruben you can still get something decent for 650 dollars but you can't support a high power amplifier on a stock alternator and charging system which will easily cost you 400 dollars or more and then you'll need a pretty good amplifier and every penny adds up as you go and it gets expensive that's for sure. |
