I just got to thinking about it, im trying to get 800w RMS (about 66 amps @ 12 volts) through a 10 gauage wire at about 15 feet! In the chart on http://www.lalena.com/Audio/FAQ/Wiring/ that means im only probally getting 15-20 amps through to the amplifier, meaning im only running about 300ish RMS? thats a guess, but if i switched to 2 guage wire I should be running at full power, and im guessing there would be a noticable difference? |

Switching to 6 AWG wire would seem to be the right choice. And i need a bigger fuse. I have a 20 amp fuse, need a 80 amp fuse. So doing these switches should theoretically give me about 2x louder sound? |
