I would go at least 1" MDF or even 1 1/4" on a box that big with a sub that powerful to avoid flexing, unless you want to take a chance with 3/4" and use extensive internal bracing. Either way, it's going to be one heavy mofo. This would be a good candidate for Trupan, or "Ultralight" MDF. Note that Trupan and Ultralight MDF are NOT the same quality of product, genuine Trupan is far superior. You can get some at a decent price in Florida at the link below.
