If you face the sub up and put lay a few nickles on it, you could possibly hit 240 with the right spoiler and window tint.

Come on you guys. Stop post-whoring and help this guy out. He asked a valid question so if you don't know anything about them, don't post stupid sh!t.

Sorry if I seem rash, (just waking up off of my turkey coma) but be realistic. It's this kind of sh!t that gives the people here more reason to make fun of you for being so ignorant.

Its all just fun and games ppl. Don't know much about them personally, but from what I hear they get loud for a so called "1000 watt sub", when some people have said you can run about 2k on them and sound descent as well.

"now how do i tune my subs?"

you put holes in the cone and stick pipes in there. length of the pipes will determine the tuning frequencies.

Maybe I didn't make myself clear in the start of the thread. If you have this brand and model; I would like to know what you think of them. I have a chance to use 4 of them in my comp truck. So if you have heard them or used them let me know if they did the job and some or they just did the job. Please I can do without the idiot remarks.

just did the job. what amp will you be using in this comp truck of yours? also, what price would you be getting those for. if your paying close to retail theres louder forthe money... also, is it strictly comp vehicle? are you building wall?

Dear Mark,

Stop jibber jabbering about how terrible we are. The kid could have easily searched the forum or internet for specific feelings about the sub. He left a very vague question with not much of a point.

A NOOB is an idiot who posts idiotic nonspecific questions that can easily be attained by a simple search.

When I was new to car audio, I searched the forums and web sites and LEARNED. Then decided to post.

here ya go avary

Dear SGDenny,

In what part of my post did you get that from? If I wasn't clear enough, I was saying that if you don't know anything about what he was asking, don't post. I know you guys are just having fun, but this guy wants a valid answer and opinion from someone that has heard or owned these subs before.

I'm using 9 kinetic 2400's 1 under the hood and 8 in the back. I also have a 300 amp alternator by ohio generators.

I will not respond to the youngsters that are just having fun because thats what they do however I hope that they can do their funnystuff somewhere else. My kids do that kind of stuff so I definitely understand children.

i wouldn't put more than 1500wrms on each unless you are just going to do some quick burps and stuff. like jk said that is too much power for those subs. i used to own one and i put 1700wrms on it. after playing at high volume, you can smell the sub. lol.

mark we were just having fun until he came back and asked a more specific question. his question was kinda vague. lol. just think of it as we were bumping his thread to the top so he will find it easier. :-)

ok i'd look for mt's if u want to stick with Fi. but theres better spl brands out there. try 4 18 atomic apx's or even apxx's if u plan on competing hardcore.

do you have a budget for 4 18's??

One 300 amp alt wont work for all of that. Do you plan on doing another alt?

I have 2 of the alternators with one installed. Once I finish the box I will get my lazy butt back under the hood (I build comp. boxes for special clients). I hear what you are sayin about the 1 alt. not working but I have used 1 with the same batteries on 8 15's and 8 amps. Although I didn't drive around town beating the block up, which is something I never do; it held up and did pretty good on current draw (158.9 on the new termlab). Now mind you I charged the batteries once a week and never had any problems with the setup. The old system was 8 powerbass 3XL's, 8 PA A3000DBs, same batteries and same alt. I just never got around to installing the second alt but I guess I will this time. I love the low end freq. and the 18's are the way to go. The box is tuned to 30 hertz.
