If you can have self control and take it easy on the volume control, you don't need any upgrade at all. It's when you blast it, the amps will start demanding high current. Don't judge batteries by it's physical size. If power is a problem, then upgrade to HO alternator. If you have money to burn, then get a better battery, if not, don't waste it. Remember, it's not the battery that produces power, it's the alternator. If your installer is/was as good as he claims, then he shouldn't have had any problems. Sounds like he's trying to squeeze some easy money from you. Never ask them for opinions, cause that's like asking a crook how you should spend your money. |

Capacitors are NOT a substitute for a bigger Alt/Battery. And a batter is also not a substitute for a bigger alt. First you will want to upgrade your alt if you find you do have trouble running that setup and then get a bigger battery which will help. |
