1ohm or 2ohm, if 2ohm try to find an mtx 1501d does 1000wrms at 12volts so around 1500wrms on a good electrical system, if 1ohm maybe a IA20.1 although its gonna be kinda exspensive.
LOL well those two amps are pretty opposite in terms of quality.......
IA 20.1 = awesome
MTX = teh suck
You could put up to ~1500 watts on those subs. Even if your electrical system won't handle that (it may or may not) you could just turn down the gain and run the amp at lower power.
M.S. for someone who has alot of knowledge u bad mouth alot of products that dont deserve it
u mean to tell me a mtx1501d is a bad amplifier .. if u believe so ur out of ur mind ..
get what ever u can afford dwight ... none of the amplifiers here are of bad quality .. some above others but none of them are gonna provide any different sound then another ... unless your a complete audiophile ... and without an upgraded electrical .. find the one thats easier on the electrical
Yea...MTX makes dam nice amps, but they are $$$$$.
Dwight, I have put the Clarion up against the Autotek mm1400.1d in a heads up comparison. It was on the sound wall in the shop...both at 1ohm on 2512's
The Clarion won...hands down. Its a budget powerhouse. (oh...and did i mention they are strappable )
i know u said ur not elelctrical upgrading but few wks ago i tested a brand new pair of 2512s dual 4ohms off a orion 2500d - handled it quite good ...goes to show they handle lots of power .....
