so if I'm getting a Dual 12" vented Subwoofer box and installing 2 12" type R 4ohm speakers into it how exactally would i wire it to the box and then, how should i wire my Hifonics Brutus 1606D mono amp to the box?....once finished how exactally do you break in a Subwoofer and if anyone knows how long does it usually take for a pair of 12" Alpine SWRS?
lol killa ill be doing that anyways when i show off to people so no worries, and chauncey i havent purchased the box yet, im still looking into it, is your box sealed, vented, ported? and i need size specs as well
A) is that a good thing? and B) what the hell is the different between ported and vented? I thought vented was the large slot thing on the side and ported were the circles but mabye that a b.p box im thinking of....
I'm with M.S. on break in. It belongs in the audio mythology 101 category.
Subs and speakers do "break in", and they do it regardless of what signal they're reproducing. Slight changes in some parameters of the speaker can be measured before vs after break in, but resulting effects on what we hear are somewhere between subjective and non-existant.
