Mixing OHm Loads

Ok if i had a dual 4 ohm sub
and a dual 1 ohm sub...i couldnt hook both up to a kicker Zx750.1 right?

both wouldnt get equal power due to different resistance. If i were you just get same ohm load subwoofers.

yea i was just proving a point to my friend...but it wouldnt hurt the subs at all?

it wouldnt really hurt the sub unless the sub was recieving more power then intended.

Well it may seem to work but it will sound like extreme crap. Reason being that the impedance of a speaker is not constant it changes with frequency, and every speaker is different. What you would have is the amount of power going to each speaker constantly changing.
