Gold Member Username: Th3pwn3rPost Number:... Post Number: 5637 Registered: Jul-06 | Lol.I don't even think you'll accomplish that in port wars. |
Gold Member Username: InsearchofbassPost Number: 7018 Registered: Jun-04 | last comparison I saw of at the dash to port was 10 db more in the port but that is in a standard size port and I think its easier to hit more in a smaller port fit more to the mic .... so yeah it will be tough |

Gold Member Username: CenusOhio Post Number: 3825 Registered: Jan-05 | "small box long a$s port" omg dave you acutally know something, that and mic placement are key, the guy who did over 180 with 1 10 in port wars was because he found the perfect spot in his port. |

Email Post Number: 4035 Registered: Nov-05 | i already knew that about the box designs.. lol mainly curious to what the best port velocity is .. keep it under 30m/s? best score ive gotten is a 169.6dB but that was with a port 6" wide |

Post Number: 5463 Registered: Mar-04 | Try something bout like this: http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=3778831 I did 162's w/ that on VERY little power. I killed the sub and never tested it again. The guys that do 180+ have boxes dam near exactly like that. I'm thinking about trying it again w/ a DD1508 or DD1510 |
Gold Member Username: FrkkevinResonant Engineering..., Fort Worth... Email Post Number: 4037 Registered: Nov-05 | kinda curious why no one uses bigger subs for port wars? |
Gold Member Username: SouthernrebelMonroe, Louisiana 2 DD3515s, 2... Post Number: 5464 Registered: Mar-04 | The smaller the area, the easier it is to compress the air. You want VERY high port velocity in super port wars. You push the end of the hose against the TL and seal it off to the plastic on the meter. The box I used was literally ducttaped together...it was leaking everythere. |
Gold Member Username: FrkkevinResonant Engineering..., Fort Worth... Email Post Number: 4038 Registered: Nov-05 | well.. my box im working on is tiny.. and i mean tiny for that XXX.. looks more like a shipping crate except smaller heres it coming together... as a reference |

Gold Member Username: FrkkevinResonant Engineering..., Fort Worth... Email Post Number: 4039 Registered: Nov-05 | yea.. barely big enough to hold the sub.. but anyways.. more pics later today as it should be done.. and TL results tomorrow unless something fails on me |
Gold Member Username: FrkkevinResonant Engineering..., Fort Worth... Email Post Number: 4042 Registered: Nov-05 | going to build a baffle that can be swapped for new port ideas or to run it sealed.. box is only 1.4cu.ft before displacement so it is tiny.. if the sub is inverted there will be just enough room to run that XXX sealed.. they rec 1.6cu.ft sealed compared to a home made 6" aero |
