The cap is more for the blue neon look (:p) and ive begun looking into alternators but i dont know much about them or where to get....ive pretty much hit my budget the rest im saving for last minute wiring etc
If your running stock speakers, replace them.. You'd be cheaper getting a neon light for looks than a cap. Use that cash for some nice components, at least a nice front stage..

far as you needing an alt.. you should be fine unless you start upgrading power
Also...why sealed box? Type R's are made more for ported box's the type X is for sealed. You may want to look into a custom ported box first... if you can build it yourself you'll probally save about 100$~ or so
im getting the sealed box because im into techno rap and rock.. i havent been able to find a custom fiberglass ported box and dont have time to make one seeing as how im at college going for a degree in engineering<too> and mabye your right i might just get neons insted of the cap....also my speakers in my doors currently are 2 type S 6x9's and in the trunk (if anyone knows saab design there are two behind the backseat on either side are Bose stock....im curious as to how i would hit all these speakers with roughly 25rms-50rms and if there is an amp i can buy to power all 4 speakers?.....
dude run the cap it will save you a headach in the end and plus a neon light doesnt do anything besides look good at leats with the cap your getting a neon light that looks good and does something to

What exactly do caps do Ben? If you say it will help, why is that? Especially for 1200RMS it won't do anything. Unless you have the charging system to keep up, a cap will do nothing but hurt.
...and constant draw. His battery will handle the peaks, and it will get charged between them. Maybe not the right way, but it will work until he can get a H/O alt.
yeah i dont typically bump around at full volume... for example my current pioneer head unit which is powering subwoofers kicking only a tad less like 50rms than these i only run at volume like 30/60 and at rare moments when driving or comparing with friends ill run it at like 45 max but not for a prolonged amount of time......i love base but not eardrum (im going to be deaf when im 50) base
