I have a friend who wants to know what he can fit in his pickup (standard cab) to get the loudest possible.

I seriously haven't payed much attention to car audio since I got in marching band (but that's over now!).

He's a junior (and I'm not..), so probably a few hundred is the limit.

In a std cab truck, 2 10"s is usually the most you can fit........

I agree. Two high quality 10's in a sealed box with solid power to each. Audioque 2.5's or Fi Q's on around 600 RMS each would do the trick nicely.

Too deep.

I'm guessing hes working with same amount of space as me....... 6" is the absolute max mounting depth of a sub to allow for decent cooling/excursion.

Treo TSX
RD Audio Classic, Sonance
RE Audio SR
eD Kv.2

Just a few I can remember considering...

With my measurements, I can get roughly 1.2 cuft behind my seat and allow room for an amp.

That's way too small a box for 2 12s. You would get better performance from 2 10s in a box that size.

^^^^ right. most of them are MDF but they are very poorly made.

If you can't build your own box, you buy a custom one. That's what I do for my systems.
