ok well my pal at school wants to upgrade from his 2 mtx 15" 4500's that have about 250rms each going to them. There in a prefab ported box. now i told him i would give him my jbl bp 1200.1. so now all he needs is a sub? but he only wants a 12" since he might switch to a sedan soon but he wants it to have loud low bass since you could hear his 15"s from inside my school. i dont know what 12" could get the lows as loud as his 15's. so if you could suggest some subs and how much cubicfeet and what they should be tuned too..... thanks any questions plz ask?
whats his budget? i'd look into AA ava/havoc, re mx, eclipse ti, mmats dreadnaught, treo ssi, DD 3500, IA death penalty, to name a few. each sub will require a different box but a good guestimate would be 2cf tuned between 30-35hz.
well if i could get one used for $300-$400 that would be easiest so i wouldn't have to convince him that much to spend more. unless theres a sub thats really worth it.

come on people atleast recommened something other than FI, i know everyone loves to ride FI's nuts like there the end all to car audio but every sub i mentioned is as good if not better than a Q or BL. back to topic, if it was me i'd an IA DP, will handle to power with ease and have pretty good output in a good box, but any of the subs mentioned will do very well.
