Gold Member Username: InsearchofbassPost Number: 6826 Registered: Jun-04 | in my opinion people over rate the TL we were only off by a few tenths (like 3 tenths) from what the older audiocontrol meter would read for us ......and the worst it was high for us was about 3 db.....and thats without people messing with stuff on the meter....so there you go kevin Ill back you up and I perssonally think the audiocontrol 190 meter is right on par with the termlab but we havent burped on our meter full tilt with our sub to know for sure |

Also, he will be changing to 3 RD 7500.1's for next year On the TL, we are guessing a STRONG 158-160. It is hard to say, because like Sean said, I have seen some AC's off by 3 tenths as well. Gold Member Username: InsearchofbassPost Number: 6853 Registered: Jun-04 | The audio control 3055 was the meter that was only off for us by .3 db compared to the termlab but on another 3055 it was off like 1.1 db ...one was town sound of york pa's meter and the other was town sound of hanover pa's meter ( I asked them) but I have been on york's 3055 later and watched them mess with the nob the video showed (i was mad because we lost a place because they did that) THAT is why the audiocontrol got the 10 db off reputation (I think) and I think we were on a audio control 180 I dont no if they make that but it's what I remember so im going with it and that one was off 3 db high compared to the termlab for us. And no one messed with the nob I stayed and watched. Also if you watch the video you linked there it was off no more than 3 db compared to the termlab the whole time.....in the end I blame the bad rap on the audiocontrol rep to be cheating users twisting the nob in most cases |
