New member Username: QualityPalmerston NorthNew Zealand Post Number: 4 Registered: Oct-07 | I looked through the threads and I can't find one that is similar to my question but if there actually is one please direct me there. But anyway in your opinion what is the best brand to go with from your experience or word of mouth? I'm talking subs here but if you think there is a brand that is best for subs, speakers and amps then please let me know. Also what brands woulds you suggest to stay away from? Cheers |

I don't see why there are people out there that choose Sony for their car audio. I was on Best Buys web page and saw a Sony subwoofer for over $500! I was like, wtf, why? You could buy a WHOLE set up for under $500 and it sound way better than that cr@p. Anyway, back on topic... some brands I personally prefer for subwoofers are: DD FI SI RE TREO JL (quality) Alpine AA Memphis Mmats Orion |

New member Username: QualityPalmerston NorthNew Zealand Post Number: 7 Registered: Oct-07 | Aww that sucks for my friend then lol. He just brought 2 brand new 12" Sony Xplods and reckons they will go hard ha. Thanks to you guys I'm going to put together way better system. One more question and then I'm pretty much out of questions. Do you have to have a Distribution Block to run 2 amps in your car? Cheers |
Gold Member Username: JkidderGunshine , State Flawda Post Number: 2274 Registered: Nov-05 | you can give each amp a run of wire off your battery. but if you only have one run going from battery to trunk then yes you'll need a distribution block |
New member Username: QualityPalmerston NorthNew Zealand Post Number: 8 Registered: Oct-07 | So therefore it is not essential to have distribution block? Would you reccommend getting one anyway as it's better or would using 2 runs of wire be just as good? Thanks |
Gold Member Username: Nd4spd18Northwest PA Post Number: 3447 Registered: Jul-06 | 2 runs of wire is much better than splitting one, as there they will have much more capacity. |
