New member Username: Dies_iraePost Number: 1 Registered: Oct-07 | Alright, so I got a cadence z5000cf monoblock 750rms@2ohm amp (The carbon fiber model) It's only 2ohm stable, produces like 75w~ at 4ohm, etc... so whatever configuration I use has to be @ 2ohms. I had a rockford fosgate p3d412 dual 4ohm vc wired in to 2ohm, it was nice - but I want more. I returned it to best buy, since I was told I can get much better deals buying used/private shop items (it's what I did with the amp). So, I got my 200 back - what, in your opinion, or if any of you has something for sale, could I use that 200 for (Or maybe more) that would match that amp well, but put out some total street bass. I'm not looking for SPL, I'm looking for pure loud, rumbling street bass. Anyone? |

New member Username: Dies_iraePost Number: 2 Registered: Oct-07 | Not sure on that one - it's only 2ohm stable, AFIAK. And everywhere says it's only 25-75w rated4ohm, haven't tried it on 4ohm, It did beat the hell out of that rockford 500rms/1000wpeak DVC sub wired for 2ohm, though. Mine looks different than the one in the picture due to it being the carbon fiber model, same specs though. http://www.cadencestore.com/ProductCart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=19&idproduct=1 8 -750 WATT - HIGH CURRENT - 2 OHM STABLE - MONO BLOCK AMPLIFIER Z5000(CF) Specifications: ADR High Speed Mosfet Power Supply. New member Username: Dies_iraePost Number: 3 Registered: Oct-07 | I meant I'm not looking for SQ, I want SPL - Oops ) |
Gold Member Username: BasssquaredKansas Post Number: 1370 Registered: Nov-06 | thats what im talking about you noob L7=SPL they are good for nothing except SPL they hit hard and for the price your not gonna find nothing better in that power range |
New member Username: Dies_iraePost Number: 5 Registered: Oct-07 | Thanks for calling me a noob, but - I wasn't correcting you, I'm well aware that L7=SPL. I was correcting myself, in my original post where I said "I'm not looking for SPL, I'm looking for pure loud, rumbling street bass. " I meant to put SQ there, not SPL. Read before being a jerk =P And yes, I agree the L7 is a possible choice. |
Gold Member Username: BasssquaredKansas Post Number: 1371 Registered: Nov-06 | calling you a noob is hardly being a jerk i'm just being honest everyone is a noob at sometime so dont take it up the as.s but i'll telling you the L7 is your best bet plus look for them on ebay and you can find them for around 200 |
Gold Member Username: CenusOhio Post Number: 3649 Registered: Jan-05 | well if all you want is loud the L7 is the sub for you, might also check out the cvx, mmats p3, or maybe a single juggernaut? |
New member Username: Dies_iraePost Number: 6 Registered: Oct-07 | Think the L7 dual 4ohm wired for 2ohm will put out a big difference in SPL as compared to the p3d412 fosgate I had in previously? Probably. I've never gotten to hear an L7, that's why I'm asking. =P |
Gold Member Username: BasssquaredKansas Post Number: 1372 Registered: Nov-06 | yes dude i know from experience i have two L7s and i've had two Rockford P2s i knwo they aren't p3s but the p2s and p3 are pretty much the same thing but the point is in my case 0ne 12" L7 was louder than both of my P2s so im sure you'd be happy with one L7 |
New member Username: Dies_iraePost Number: 7 Registered: Oct-07 | Nice nice =) I checked ebay with no real luck, I'm hoping to find a dual 4ohm L7(to be able to have it as 2ohm) and a box for a reasonable price, know anyone selling? |
Silver Member Username: Hurricanebr1anWestern Burbs of Chicago, IL Usa Post Number: 163 Registered: Sep-07 | if u want kicker, i would recommend a cvx instead. made of the same components , but round to retain sq. output isnt quite as much but i doubt anything short of a meter could tell u that. 12" refurbed w/ kicker ported box for $200 (220 shipped to me). good deal IMO. Tough to beat for spl at 750wrms IMO. http://www.hifisoundconnection.com/Shop/Control/fp/sret/122152161922221122419282 22122428321422722428721822722029122222324029722622524024123224723823323224923425 1/vpid/3142236/vpcsid/0/SFV/30046/sret/12215216192222112241928222122428321422722 4287218227220291222223240297226225240241232247238233232249238245 |
