Tuesday, October 09, 2007 - 22:29 GMT I need some advice. I have 2 cerwin vega stroker 122s (12 inch) and they are 4 ohm, 2000w rms 4000w max per sub. I have a 2 channel 1200W kicker amp and a 2 channel 2400W lanzar amp. What is the best way to hook these and should i buy a capacitor or battery?}

Wednesday, October 10, 2007 - 01:00 GMT first of all, sell your lanzar amp, it won't push those subs, second thing is to use your kicker amp for components. You need 4000w rms at 1 ohm, that's expensive, but you can get good bump with a rockford t2000bd

Wednesday, October 10, 2007 - 02:38 GMT Ya need a lot bigger amp. That 2400 is max watts so you won't even get half of that. And lanzar blows big time except for the opti series.

Wednesday, October 10, 2007 - 17:03 GMT If you want full potential out of your subs find yourself a 4,000 watt RMS amp.Look for a memphis 4kw or possibly a RF 4K rms amp,you could also look into an amp from the XX line from Hifonics.

Thursday, October 11, 2007 - 02:21 GMT that amp wont even get close to properly powering your subs....your gonna need about 4krms @ 1 ohm....which will be costly, very costly....then you'll need to beef up the electrical (alt, batts, big 3) which will make the price of the proper amp you need seem cheap.....have fun bud hope you got a couple grand to throw around

Thursday, October 11, 2007 - 04:22 GMT That Kicker ZX450.2 does around 500-550RMS at 4ohm mono bridged . No where near 1200 watts.
