Tc-sounds 18" 5400 lms. Its a heavy b*tch. I know polo has been looking for the 5400 or the 5200 can't remember which. I like the red basket and the quad stack motor.
Nah, I'm going to keep the w6's. I have them sealed and really like em. Gonna use this in a ported setup to get a little more sql, as apposed to the strait sq i'm getting from the jl's.
Yeah, I got it before the price increase... still 875. I was looking for a 18" eclipse ti pro for months and didn't have much luck. So being a pretty similar subwoofer, maybe a little better I went with this one.
Nice! You will need lots O power for that pig, lol. 4K being a good idea. My 5200 is on its way and BJ getting ready to start my box, I think a work log will be in order Polo..
I had to do some looking, always check your facts before you speak but ya, the Ti pro is indeed a 5200, there are subtle differences but basically the same. The old Ti pro was inferior to the 5200 until they changed the surround. The 5200 had the high roll butyl rubber surround while the Ti pro had the fat foam surround which reduced surface area. Now from what I have seen the new Ti pro has what it looks to be the high roll butyl rubber surround like the 5200 so I think they are now equal, both using the legendary 4hp motor. The standard Ti uses the 3hp motor but is very impressive with less power. Polo..
Polo.. TI pro is no longer built by tc sounds (none of eclipse stuff is) there are a few more changes (a new shorting ring in the motor, a different coil, few other things) but they are similar drivers for sure! They are all 3 nice drivers, for sure though! (lms5400, tc5200, ti pro) Enjoy it man!
oh by the way some of there drivers are still normal pricing till they are sold oout i was going to pick up a tc-9 12 $179 they have some 100 200 ans 300 left over tc-7 and the 500 or whatever
I thought the same thing but the fact is, why share? Let everyone else buy there own to look at! treat the enclosure like a ziploc baggie, everytime you open it up the memory is FRESH in your mind! Biaaattcchh...
PS- I am wrapping my TC in double and triple layers...
the 5200 is the spl one and the 5400 is the sq one right (obviously both more sql bc theyre tc sounds...)"
Technically speaking they are both SQL subs, the 5400 leans more to the SQ and the 5200 leans more to the SPL side. All this said the 5200 is pretty versatlile due to its extreme BL and prefers to be tuned really low, like around 30hz and in a box of only 3sf for a 15 which is great. The 5200 is on average, 3dbs louder than 5400 but no where as good sounding. My box should be made soon, can't wait to do some testing/install and videos.. Polo.
if its in a box, no plexi no inverted and its a badass sub, who cares?
call me h0m0 but id buy sub with a rainbox painted on the basket if the sub was good enough.....now im not saying i would go off and show off the basket to anyone but id throw the sub in the box and call it a day and forget what the hell the basket looked like
