Right now I have Infinity 6802CF Speakers in there: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-Ps9I2ansFr6/cgi-bin/prodview.asp?s=0&cc=01&i=108680 2CF&g=52200&search=infinity Would JL Audio XR570-Cxi speakers be worth the money to replace my Infinity's: http://www.jlaudio.com/evolution/XR570CX.html Let me know if you guys think that the JL's are that much better. I dunno if it helps but I listen to Rock, Dance, and Rap Music. |

Good 6.5" component systems are: Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1 Focal Utopia 6.5" separates CDT classic 6.5" separates DynAudio 6.5" separates Rainbow 6.5" separates MB Quart 6.5" separates JL Audio XR series 6.5" Diamond Audio HEX Series S600 Try these and see what you think. |

I'd prefer making my own out of MDF, but it's up to you. cover it with Dynamat for best results. Since the 6.5 is smaller than 6x8, you can mount the tweeter on the adapter beside the woofer and angle it up, or flush or surface mount the tweeter higher in the door (theres always a place for a tweeter ). Component systems sound better, and a 6x8 will not have the sound quality of a 6 1/2 round speakers, oval speakers sound worse. A lot of component systems have better midbass because there is no pole to have to mount the tweeter onto, allowing more excursion. |
