Gold Member Username: The_image_dynamicSan Diego Post Number: 2745 Registered: Dec-06 | You would use it if for some strange reason your speaker cables have to be super long like 15+ feet or something AND you are running amps that are pushing huge amounts of power. But in any decently configured system your speaker wires should be very short and 12 gauge is more than suitable. And yes there is a measurable difference between silver plated wire and copper. Silver is the best conductor known to man, but would you be able to hear the difference in a noisy car environment? Nope. |
