ok so i'm pretty much deciding on getting two 15" rd alpha v2's running on 2 1750.1 rd amps. but i'm a bit worried about the back hatch of the car hahaha any suggestions on beefing it up? cause i have a feeling those subs are gonna beat the sh.t out of it

Great stuff. Fill it up, it'll add weight and really help it out a lot. with flexing.

Fill it up.

Take a 1/2 dozen cans of great stuff and fill in every nook and cranny. Keep clear of the handle mechanism and the motor for the wiper if you have one, other than that fill it up.

Even if he fills it up it will still flex away from the gasket. It's just how it is.At least it probably won't rattle like crazy.I'd sound deaden the whole thing and then use the foam unless you can't get in there well enough. Then I'd do what Troy said, just blow foam in there and put your panel back on.

I put 3 layers of deadener on my hatch, but it doesn't do what great stuff will, and it's a lot more expensive. Yeah, the whole door will move, but it wont make that irritating rattle as bad. (I can't help with the wiper arm though.)

Yea...I just learned to accept all the rattles and love them for why they're there lol.If I ever get a new vehicle it's getting layered with deadener.

I've been slowly doing that to mind, at least I got the rear done, but I've GOT to fill in that rear door, I swear it makes a bigger difference than anything else with every vehicle I get.

My friend does robotics and I was talking to him about making a hydraulic arm or two to pull the door down tight, and mechanically open it- it's a cool idea i think, just have to get around to doing it. It would pull much tighter than that factory latch does.

While it would pull more tightly to the gasket I'd worry about causing the top of the door to bow out.You would have to have 4 arms of hydraulics in order to get it to seal properly without bowing and that's a big a ss project lol and probably expensive but it would be a pretty sick thing to do to that truck.

I have to find out how much it is. He did some kind of robotics competition in high school, and says he can find the names of the manufacturers to order from. That's so far down on the list of priorities though...
