Post Number: 12060 Registered: Jul-05 | well i had this thread b4 i built it (2oo2 model sub) for some1 https://www.ecoustics.com/electronics/forum/car-audio/381874.html so here it is My Review - now i heard a few b4 but this is 1st L7 i have ever worked with since its not really a popular sub in my country even though we have ALOT of brands here Must say after reading negative reviews of it on most forums (especially here) about it sounding like sh1t blah blah i expected that feeling....due to car it was going in & its small trunk entrance i could only manage a 3.6cuft even though kicker rec 4-6cuft i ist tuned it to 36hz hoping for SQL but wasnt getting as much as i hoped lows so i retuned it to 34hz & it was alot better sounding (fs on this is about 27 i think) & IMO it no way sounds sh1tty as ppl would have me believe ,not the most accurate or loudest sub but i would call it fairly good biggest complaint would be the real size of box it needs & its a power hungry sub since rated 1000wrms & it being dual 4ohms i had it on my Soundstream Picasso 2000d which at 2ohms = 1500wrms & this is what power it had to take to sound fairly loud (yet if i use that same power on my 2 cheap pioneers 10s - they will beat the kicker's azz !) ...note 2 10s has less area than 1 15" http://www.iasca.com/classes/chart.php so IMO - not a terrible sub by any means but its NOT something i would recommend to ppl when there is alot of better choices out there .... |
